Astroport has recently launched on Injective, migrating their AMM to the Injective ecosystem. The mainnet launch not only marks Astroport’s first-ever interchain deployment, but also brings a new avenue for users to instantly swap crypto assets and earn yield within the Injective ecosystem. As part of their launch, the Astroport is directing significant ASTRO rewards into initial pools. The proposal here is meant to provide dual incentives by also providing rewards in INJ which is a first for the community. The goal is to ultimately provide a superior trading experience on Astroport by incentivizing community members to participate in the LP process and earn yield which thereby can increase liquidity profiles. This in turn would lead to a potentially more capital efficient environment across Injective dApps. This proposal will be part of a larger ecosystem initiative to accelerate overall user growth on Injective. Specifically, the passing of IIP-208 would send $ 20,000 worth of INJ from the Injective ecosystem development pool as rewards on Astroport. The INJ would be transferred to the Delphi Labs team who would then add the incentives into the pools based on the breakdown below. The price of INJ would be calculated from the price as shown on CoinMarketCap at the time of transfer. The proposed breakdown of the rewards is the following:
