Developer Onboarding Funding Proposal (Zealy)

Proposal

Discussions around community initiatives on Akash, led to the creation of the Zealy working group. Zealy is a score-based platform where users earn points from doing quests that we want to use for educational, marketing, and innovative reasons.

We want to utilize this platform to onboard and educate developers by incentivizing them and leading them to great resources.

After reaching out to Tyler and Scott, Overclock Core team, we were able to run a successful pilot with funding from the community support proposal showing the rough idea on what can be done with Zealy and the results were: 925 AKT rewarded between 225 completed missions and 76 users

The Akash Zealy working group, led by Akash insiders Del Rey | InstaFinanzas and Piber puts forward our detailed proposal to onboard and educate developers on the Akash platform.

This ambitious initiative provides a structured approach to learn and engage in the Akash network ecosystem

The program has already run a successful pilot, demonstrating its potential. The results of the pilot consisted in a significant number of users completing a wide set of missions about Akash Network with many earning rewards by the end of the pilot. This initial success has given us, the Zealy working group, the confidence to scale up this program.

We propose Akash insiders Del Rey | InstaFinanzas and Piber continue leading this campaign as community manager and missions administrator, respectively.

Their respective roles will involve creating and reviewing missions, leading calls, moderating the community, write announcements, pay out rewards, give technical support, among other duties.

The time commitment for each of these roles is estimated to be 5 hours per week.

Expected outcomes

Firstly, the team will implement Zealy Developer Roles on Akash Discord.

This will give users the opportunity to earn recognition for their achievements, hopefully encouraging them to complete more missions and help us track where they go in the Akash community.

Secondly, the team aims to get 250 - 1000 unique users partaking in missions. This is a substantial increase compared to the pilot programs which manage to get 78 unique users during a 1 month period for the pilot.

Additionally, the team expects to generate a considerable amount of traffic to other Akash-related topics and working groups.

Ultimately, the program aims to create a clear path for users to learn how to use Akash, even if they have minimal technical experience, attract seasoned developers, bring quality content creators to Akash Network

Funding

To fund this ambitious program, the Zealy working group is requesting $14000 USD worth of AKT at the time of submitting the proposal.

Pricing at $50 USD/hr, we are requesting $250 USD/week/user for a quarter for a total of $6500 USD for role payments.

We expect to use $2500 USD/month for rewards and Zealy monthly subscription (If applicable) for a total of $7500 USD.

This funding will cover the payments for the community manager and administrator roles, as well as the rewards for completing missions.

Previous left-over funding from the other proposal will be returned to the community pool wallet before submitting the proposal to chain.

After the quarter this proposal is targeted for, there will be a one-month long deadline to pay back any remaining funds to the community pool.

• Invite 3 friends to join the Akash Dev onboarding program on Zealy
• Attend Crypto event and take a picture with the Akash team
